As has been illustrated in the article “The Second Coming is not the Day of the Lord” delusion as a result of willful sin has overtaken much of the church.
Specifically, this delusion centers around what is thought to be the Second Coming or the rapture.
These misconceptions are scripturally inconsistent.
God sends strong delusions (error) to Christians who sin willfully so that they can be judged and corrected, 2 Thess Chapter 2 verses 11 and 12.
2Th 2:11 (ASV) And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 (ASV) that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
What is thought to be a rapture alludes to the same thing as Daniel 9:27 and Rev chapter 20.
These are parables concerning the correction of Christians who willfully continue in sin and how God brings them back to obedience.
